We at Lapping Services overhaul mechanical seals, small or large, single spring or multi spring cartridge type seals. We are experienced in lapping all the different materials commonly utilized to manufacture seal faces such as; tungsten carbide, silicone carbide, ceramic, carbon and stainless steel.
Prior to lapping we also have the capacity to grind badly damaged or eroded face as found in slurry pumps and dewatering pumps at the bottom of mines.All finished faces are tested for “flatness” utilizing “monochromatic” light then cleaned with a “state of the art” process to ensure all possible abrasive particles are removed from the working faces.
